Good News!
They're building a middle school in the big field across from our house. This is like .. HUGE for us. A school nearby means a huge boost to our property value .. which means we'll be able to sell, and probably for more than we refinanced. Woot! So. Some of you might remember I mentioned a -looong- time ago that Jason and I are getting the house refinanced through the credit union we now bank with. Well, we've been waiting .. and waiting.. and waiting.. and waiting.. and waiting for the lawyers to get things handled so we can close. They never bothered to even return our phone calls. A year ago, my hubby and I were both laid off (we worked at the same company) and for 6 months, we enjoyed our unemployment. Last November, he finally got a job, working in car sales. It's been a bit of a struggle, but last month he sold 10 cars, and was top numbers and profit seller at his dealership. Such a huge deal for him! He's also ( Read more... ) -

I've been a busy lil beaver today. I've managed to get the furniture rearranged in Brandon's room .. I think it looks pretty good, actually. Gives a bit more walking room, really, which is always important in any room. Of course, in the process of this I have kicked up a LOT of dust .. I'm sneezing and sniffling tons. Our house is a mess, and I'm determined it's NOT going to stay this way. We have to laundry today .. and get the kitchen looking like it did when we got home from Michigan .. I can't believe how crappy we;ve let it get in two frigging weeks! *grrrrrs*

Home sweet home ... anyone want to buy it?
I so don't want to go through the hassle that will be selling this place, but it -has- to sell for us to be able to afford this Europe move. Our meager savings won't hold out long if we don't. But at lesat now it's clean, and we can keep it that way. And things are getting fixed too.
