life, or something like it.

So. Some of you might remember I mentioned a -looong- time ago that Jason and I are getting the house refinanced through the credit union we now bank with. Well, we've been waiting .. and waiting.. and waiting.. and waiting.. and waiting for the lawyers to get things handled so we can close. They never bothered to even return our phone calls. (Can you say I'm never going to use this lawyer again??) Well, yesterday Jason went in to the bank and talked to our loan officer, who was -furious- with the lawyer and called her up while Jason was sitting there, and we now have a closing date.

We close on the refinance on the 11th!! Woohoo! That means our bills will go down considerably, as we're paying nearly everything off. Definitely paying of the crap-tastic Citi-Financial 'Consolidation loan' that's nothing but a huge fucking loan-shark racket. Bah .. I'm never doing that again. And we've already paid off most of both B-of-A cards .. we just need to pay the balances now. And then we're gonna do the Expert Tire and the Tiger Direct cards .. and anything left over will pay any lingering little bills, like my Capitol One, and the reeds card and such. I don't know how much we'll have left, but anything to get all these bills handled and off my plate will be fantabulous!

In other news, Jason's been working for this one dealership in Charlotte since November, selling cars. Last month, the dealership as a whole sold 34 cars. 13 of those were sold by none other than my beloved husband. There are 4-5 other salespeople in the dealership. None of which have sold as much as Jason for the last few months. However, they just fired the GM, and they're fixing to fire the Finance Manager, and the Finance Director already quit. The BDC (Business Development Center, I think) 'Manager' ... a little 23 year old punk that got the job because he knew someone in the management company, quit the other day, but the new GM isn't going to even talk to Jason about the job ... even though he'd been promised the job months ago, even before they hired Chris.

So. Jason's already been over to speak to the folks at Burns, here in Rock Hill. And they want to talk with him again next week. I think that's where his old Used Car Manager went to work, if I'm not mistaken anyway, so I'm pretty sure he won't have a problem getting a job there ... though I hope he gets into finance, which is what he wants. Though anything will be better at this point that working at Dick Keffer. Especially if he's only 5-10 minutes from home instead of 35-40 minutes, which is what the drive up to Tyvola can be, especially in the mornings.
