A New Disclaimer

May 14, 2008 18:46

Ok, so someone I work with linked to here from my facebook account, read my post about the governor, and got all butt-hurt about it. He said I was negatively representing our agency or something like that. He printed it out and ran to a higher up in our office (one should ask why he was browsing facebook and/or blogs on state time).

What I am about to type applies to all previous, current, and future entries I make here.

DISCLAIMER: These opinions are mine only, and do not represent my unnamed employer or anyone else in particular. If you have problems with what I am saying, address them directly to me, not my co-workers, supervisors, friends, relatives or neighbors... none of whom have any control over what I write on my own time and equipment (re: First Amendment).
I totally ripped this disclaimer, word for word, from the old blog of Roger Edwards, I hope he doesn't mind. If he does, I'll take it down and replace it with something that probably won't be worded as well as his disclaimer (the wording is why I took it). In homage to this god of meteorology, this stud of stormchasing, this conqueror of the convective outlook, I post a link to the old blog and the new one.

*EDIT: I heard back from him. He said it's OK. Permission after the fact is fun. Note: The fact that he OK'd the usage of his disclaimer does not constitute his endorsement of ANYTHING you see here. *
