RE: Governor Steve Beshear
On behalf of Kentucky, I'd like to apologize for the disgrace we have living in the Gov's mansion. Had we known how things would turn out, we would have left Ol' Ernie alone.
At least he didn't make jokes about killing the president, unlike the current gov...
Our last governor caused a panic when the transponder on his plane went out when he was in restricted airspace in DC (although that wasn't his fault, unless he broke it on purpose). Now, our current governor makes a joke about killing the president.
Is it too much to ask to have a governor that does not upset the secret service?
*in case you're wondering what I'm babbling on about, it involves a column in yesterday's Courier-Journal*
At a Democratic fundraiser Friday, Beshear wanted to employ the vice president in an effort to cure the nation's ills.
"I can think of only one Republican who can be a problem-solver," Beshear told the crowd. "And that would be Vice President (Dick) Cheney, if he will just take George on a hunting trip."
This is the least of Beshear's problems. He's got a lot of other problems (like not making good on any of his campaign promises, underfunding education, the state worker pension plan, etc, etc...)
