looking for a camera...

My camera got sick recently, meaning it started to develop some kind of filter that coloured all my pictures pink (first just the upper rim, then the whole pic). After a while, the pics weren't just pink but also very very blurry, as if someone with high-level Parkinson was taking the pictures, and whereas my hands usually shake a little when they hold a camera (don't know why), it's not THAT bad. So I decided that the camera died its inevitable death after about 6 years of faithful service.

Which means I'm looking for a new camera, and I thought I'd ask you guys if you have any recommendations.

What I want the camera to have/be (minimum configuration):
- 5x optical zoom (but preferably more)
- 5 megapixels
- accumulator, no batteries
- automatic and manual flash
- the ability to take good photos when there's a lighted object in the darkness (or floodlights, for that manner) - my old camera used to darken the entire pic when I used flash and blur the pictures heavily when I didn't use flash
- the ability to give me clear pictures even when my hands are shaking a little
- able to take photos as well as short videos (and preferably, zooming should be possible whilst filming)
- compatible with a SanDisk compact flash disk

I'm a big fan of Canon, but if you can recommend me a camera of a different brand that is cheaper (or better) than the Canon one, feel free to do so!

ETA: I'm currently thinking of buying either a Canon PowerShot A720 IS or a Canon PowerShot A2100 IS, but I'm not too sure...

In other news, lhuneldaiel and crazy_girl_86, look what arrived in the mail today!
