Good morning. This is Arashi's Ohno Satoshi.
Here's today's thought of the day; come on!

"Peace is the nurse of arts." [1]

[BGM 'Natsu no Namae']

Ohh. I see.
Peace, huh? Peace is great! This is a quote by English playwright, William Shakespeare.

If you're not at peace when creating things, you can't work, right? Mm. Well, when creating things, there's no strained atmosphere. I mean, if there was, I wouldn't be able to draw or make things.

And like, I've been drawing at home all this time, but lately I felt like it's good to draw elsewhere too. And like, (laughs), should I say it once more? I was in Paris and London for work [2], and then I had a deadline, for drawing. So like, if I wasn't in Paris and London, I wouldn't be able to draw! It was inspired.

So I was drawing in the hotels in Paris and London. But thinking back, conversely, it was probably a good thing. If I'd been drawing in my own home, I'd have been stuck in a rut. I was really able to draw with my heart at peace. So that sort of thing is important. It's good to get a change of scenery occasionally.

I mean, I don't know but like, it was my first time in Paris and London. I barely went outside; I was just in the hotel, but like I was like, "hey, I'm really in Paris!"

So I did my work. Well, it's because I was doing it in a place I liked, I think. Like, just being immersed in it. Mm.

So like, when I've reached my limits, it's like, "Maybe I'll go to Paris and London!" (laughs)

Well, but in doing that, having a change of scenery helped refresh my mood too. Outside... I'd have liked to draw outside too. There are people who do that, right? That seems peaceful. Mm. Like probably while breathing the fresh air, drawing at your own pace, then being like, "that's enough for today"... I'd like to try that!

So folks, I might do that. Please look out for me! And then please watch me from behind. I might be there, who knows. In the future. I don't know how or why, though. (laughs)

See you! Look for me!

That's all; this was Ohno Satoshi!

[1] From Henry V. Full quote from Burgundy's speech:
"Why that the naked, poor and mangled Peace,
Dear nurse of arts and joyful births,
Should not in this best garden of the world
Our fertile France, put up her lovely visage?"

[2] Ohno and Matsujun were in Paris & London in April 2013 to watch some concerts/plays. Ohno was also collaborating with Kusama Yayoi for the 24HTV chari-t-shirt design.
