Good morning. This is Arashi's Ohno Satoshi.
Every Friday I respond to the messages received on this show.
First up is one from a Hong Kong Arashi fan, Bakumiseru-san.
...Oh, that's amazing! A foreign fan. It's been a while!
"When you see large posters of yourself in the street, how do you feel? Yesterday, they started putting up large posters of you in the street."
(Seriously?)
"Currently in Hong Kong, your face can be seen wherever magazines are sold. A while ago, it was Aiba-chan. It's really fun! Arashi, please think about coming to Hong Kong! We'll be waiting!"
That's amazing! Like, even that message must have been tricky. Thank you very much.
Eh? So our faces even made it to Hong Kong?
Yeah, so like, a while back, we got to do an Asia tour... I had no clue! I mean, we've always been working in Japan, but overseas in Korea, and Hong Kong, of course... The fact that we had fans there was beyond miraculous.
So like, how...? Should we just interact with them like we do in Japan?
I mean, Japanese people who come back to Japan after being abroad have this image, like, just casually, "Hey folks!" They have that impression, right?
So like! We can't do that, right!? For Arashi, I mean. Um, like, do we play it smooth, or do we go the comic route? [1] (laughs) I had no clue!
But like, even just raising our hands a little to wave and they'd go like, "UWAAAAH!!"
But I'm not that sort of character! ^^; So I was confused there. I feel like I just ended up doing something vaguely in between.
Yeah, so by all means, Arashi'll go to Hong Kong! Yeah. Thank you very much!
Next, from 'Kazuya's Mum'-san
"It's gotten a lot warmer, hasn't it? My son's elementary school has lessons in the pool. My son Kazuya hates swimming, so he's always saying, 'I hope it rains'. Satoshi-kun, you're good at sports, so you seem like you'd be good at swimming. Could Satoshi-niichan say a word or two to help him learn to enjoy swimming?"
Well, I was the same! I felt lucky when it rained. Honestly, I skipped class once. Why? Because I couldn't swim.
And then like, I hated that. I mean, we still had lessons at the pool in middle school. So at this rate I'd end up hating summer, right? I didn't want that to happen, so I started going to a swimming school. I think it was my own idea? I told my mum I wanted to go.
And then like, they taught me, and I eventually learnt how to swim. I could even do the butterfly. So I don't know, but like, I think it'd be better if you went, too. Mm. Then once you learn how, you'll have a weight off your shoulders.
Next, from Ai-san
"I was planning to confess to someone I like, but I lack the courage. I'd like to hear a word of encouragement from my beloved Satoshi-kun."
I see.
