[BGM ‘Masquerade’]
Good morning. This is Arashi's Ohno Satoshi.
Every Friday I respond to the messages received on this show.
First up is one from Sana-chan.
"Ohno-kun, good morning. Every morning I make
bento while listening to your radio show. Occasionally, Ohno-kun talks about your mother's cooking at home. So I make bento for my husband and he's told me to make
tamagoyaki with just salt in it. In my own household we put a lot of sugar in our tamagoyaki, so I tend to make tamagoyaki for my husband and myself separately. I think that adding at least a little sugar makes it tastier, but I guess that just doesn't match his mother's cooking. Ohno-kun, what sort of flavour does the tamagoyaki from your household have?"
I see. For me, when I was a kid, I was in the sugar tamagoyaki half. Sweet tamagoyaki. But at the time, my mum would make two types. One for the kids and one for my dad. My dad's wouldn't be sweet and would have spring onions added in. Something like that. That's similar to your husband, right? So maybe that's just how it is.
But for me, I'm no longer a kid. Of course, I still like sweet tamagoyaki, but now, if you asked me which I prefer to eat, it'd be the ones with just salt, maybe add in some spring onions and make sure it's not sweet? So it's changed.
But that's amazing, to make bento first thing in the morning. I think that's amazing in itself. How about letting me try some one day? The sweet, dessert-type. Well, but it might be good to try out all sorts of things, you never know.
Next, from Marina-san.
"Oh-chan, good morning. Lately, no matter what I do, I immediately end up stopping. I can't continue at all. The only thing I've managed to continue is listening to Oh-chan's radio show. Please say something to me!"
So there is something, right? You're able to continue listening to the radio, right? So you should praise yourself for that. Well, but from now on, I'm continuing with this radio show, so Marina-san, I might say something that gives you motivation, for all you know. Mm. So please wait for that!
Well, I might not say it either, though...
Next, from Over-50-I-Really-Really-Really-Love-Ohno-kun Kei-san.
"I always enjoy listening to your show. Due to my influence, my husband is also a big Ohno-kun fan. When he heard that
Fukuyama-san was giving a men-only concert, he said that he wondered whether Ohno-kun would also do that one day. By all means, please consider it!"
Man, I'm flattered. Even your husband, huh? Thank you very much. But that's something that Arashi's done long ago, on TV. It was a men-only thing, but man, that sure livened things up! We were really happy, for that. To think that it'd be so packed! Well, maybe doing it again some day might be interesting.
Lately, in Arashi concerts we do call out (to men), occasionally. Sho-kun's first greeting is something like, "How are all the men?" and so on.
We get an incredible response. Like UWAHHH! It makes me realise just how many of you have come here. Certainly, that really means something. It'd be great if you come.
Next, from Sato-Sato-san.
"Oh-chan, good morning. This is random, but when I use a mask, I make a weird face. At first, it started out because I was curious since I wondered whether anyone would notice me making faces if I were wearing a mask. But whenever I used a mask, I experimented with whether people would notice or not and before I realised, it became a habit. Even though I thought I should stop, the thrill of whether or not people would notice was too great and now I can't stop. Oh-chan, what do you think of girls who make weird faces?"
I think it's fine to make weird faces. I don't go as far as to make weird faces, but I probably don't make normal faces either. When I wear a mask. My mouth kinda half goes into a half-smile. Like, I get what Sato-Sato-san says. It's not normal either, when I wear a mask.
Next, from U-chan.
"Ohno-kun, good morning. This is random, but it'll be my
National Centre test for university admission soon. I think that if Ohno-kun encouraged me, I'd pass, so please give myself and all the students across the nation taking exams a word of encouragement."
That's incredible. Man, you'll definitely pass! I believe in you. In all of you. You'll definitely pass!
And so with that, the weekly Friday messages have been answered. I'll be awaiting your mail. The address is arashi@fmyokohama.co.jp. I'll be waiting for you to send me lots of messages.
See you next week; this was Ohno Satoshi!
