A tough month ahead, possibly?

Work's been going great. It's been a month and a half and now I see that every month similar problems arise, so it's not scary things are easy. My boss really likes my work. We were in the middle of a backlog, still are, but at the same time we're making great progress with current stuff. For the month of March, yeah, a long time ago, we had like five pages of unidentified transactions coming in, and as of Friday, for April, we had less than twenty items. And for May, that only ended a few days ago, which is awesome because we usually receive money before paperwork is sent to us for processing, which means we're pretty much current. All this is good, and hopefully this next week or so will involve less catching up, before things starts to become crazy for the end of the financial year.

Like all business, end of financial year is a big deal. For us, apparently we get a lot of money from the government, not specifying who they're for. That's because the government encourage people to invest for their retirement, they give you an extra $1.50 for every $1.00 you contribute to your account, up to a certain threshold of course, can't remember what. Time goes by quick, which is great. Very soon it's lunch break and soon after that it's time for home already, and it doesn't even feel like I'm swamped with stuff, just enough to keep me occupied.

On Thursday I woke up particularly early, so I could have a longer lunch break to go shopping. Normally I have lunch for about 30, 40min. this time, I took an hour and a half break, and didn't even until I returned to my desk, hehe. There was a sale going on at Myer, our largest department store chain. There was 20% off all clothing, and I didn't hold back. I might not shop often, but when I do I often spend big. In that time, I managed to spend $300+ on only three items. The majority of that went to a nice jacket. I didn't have time to look at casual stuff, but I don't really wear them any more, although I'd like to.

I have to figure out some good way to sleep for the next month or so. Last weekend the French Open began, I've stayed up a little for that. Beginning on Friday will be the soccer World Cup, and two weeks from that will be Wimbledon. All of these things start in the middle of the night for us, I think I might have to sleep right after dinner some time and wake up mad early. For the second time ever, Australia is in the World Cup. I know they don't have a chance in the world, but I'll still watch them. Australia is in the same group with Brazil, and that match is at the worst time of all, kicking off at 2am my time. If it was 11pm or 4am like some other matches I can sleep around that, but 2am, that's tough, it'll be like sleeping in two legs. To make things worse, when the World Cup final is on, it's the same day as the Wimbledon men's singles final. I've stayed up for many years for that match until the wee hours, then the World Cup final is on like an hour after that, maybe I should plan early and take that following Monday off work. Otherwise I wouldn't be myself at work any way. It'll be so awesome though, so much sport, already so much this year. Australian Open, Winter Olympics, Commonwealth Games, now with the French Open, World Cup and Wimbledon continuously over a month and a half, exciting stuff!
