Well I was going well for a while there, and had gotten back on the blogging wagon but after a busy weekend and week I seemed to have slipped a little!
Not to worry, I'm good at climbing back on.
So even though I haven't been blogging I have been stitching and making and sewing and crafting and loving.
At the moment I'm loving hand quilting.
All those tiny methodical stitches (don't look too closely..), sitting on the couch, relaxing, packed into a little bag, ready to go on the move with me, pulled out while waiting for the bus, waiting in line, waiting for more hours in the day.
These two bento box quilt blocks (that's half of one up there in pinks and oranges) are for miss
Lululollyleg's month in the fabulous group
Ten Makes Two.
Or in my case it's more like Nine (and one tardy Aussie) make Two.
Yes these blocks were supposed to have been done by July... Ouch!
Even worse,
Shanna's blocks were supposed to finished by June...
I promise these are straight in real life! I just couldn't get up high enough to get a proper bird's-eye view when I was snapping photos..
All paper pieced. Well foundation piecing (on paper), really. I love foundation paper piecing but I had no pattern for these ones so it was a new challenge to design my own! There were a few swear words and quite a few tantrums but they're done now. And I'd like to get onto making a tutorial for paper foundation piecing using my method, and sharing how to make your own (simple!) patterns to save you thr trouble I went through.
But for now I need to get back to sewing these bento box blocks before I get booted!
Sorry guys!
(as a bigger apology/bribe, I'm popping in a stamp for those of you who've had to wait sooooo looooong for my blocks..)
