Oops.
Hectic family Easter events meant that I had to put the Little Girl aside for a few days, and she was very quiet while sitting and waiting patiently for her hair to be finished!
I had planned on black hair but it just didn't suit her - it looked very harsh against her pale skin. So I popped down and grabbed some Cleckheaton Nurture (hand-dyed 100% wool) in a gorgeous variagated strawberry blonde colour.
Here she sits (in a fabric scrap to save her poor modesty) with her smart new 'do. I'm not sure whether I love it or not. Her face is also giving me some trouble too. I got rid of the black french knots for eyes and replaced them with two brown buttons, but now I think her mouth looks out of place. Too dark maybe? Maybe a brown? Or a nice lip-ish sort of red? What do you guys think?
Now onto a repeat of my most disliked stage - pattern drafting. Pattern drafting for clothes no less!
