Craft swap extravaganza - Emma the robin

Mar 14, 2008 21:20

Well, as promised, here is the present I made for my swap partner. I'm not as pleased with how this turned out as I could be, I guess. I would have liked to have had the time to make her some cute little socks and mary-janes, and also a felt oboe, but alas I did not.

So, let's just jump to it.

This is Emma. Emma plays the oboe in her school band (that's her school uniform there!) even though everyone knows the flute players get all the good solos. She studies French on the weekends at Saturday school, and one day she hopes to travel to France and play her music in quaint Parisian cafes.

Emma is made from chenille upholstery material, with a flannel breast and felt legs.

The back of Emma's schooldress - buttons sewn on to the psuedo-band. If it were real it would be adjustable to pull the waist in to fit but it's just there for prettiful decoration.

Emma's red robin breast. No peeking!

Her arms and tail aren't stuffed, so that they flop and move more realistically.

Fat bottomed robin.

plushies, swap
