Craft swap extravaganza - Sushi

Phew!

Firstly.... Oh my god.

Full time work when I haven't worked in a year and haven't actually ever worked full time before, coupled with trying to make things to a deadline... dear lord, I nearly imploded. But they're done and done now. I wish I'd had more time, especially to finish off Emma the robin, but I had to send them out so although they're not as nice as I'd like them to be, at least I got them out the door.

My first partner, Mandy from Vancouver, likes cute crafts and sushi, and I like making felt replicas of real life stuff so I made her some felt sushi (naturally!).

The steamer. I'd like to thank the current series of So You Think You Can Dance, as it was tapes of those episodes that got me through stitching down all the woven felt for the lid.

Somebody who's more qualified on eatin' sushi than I am will have to tell me what flavours these ones might be.

Felt filling, cotton wadding (like you would use in quilts) to simulate rice, and a cotton print as the nori (seaweed).
