Remember Pontoon Troll?
Well I gutted his feet, and ended up with this:
That's a LOT of stuffing. But, after many revisions and basically a whole new foot design (I turned him inside out and smallerised his feet while they were still attached), we have a troll that looks something like this:
New and improved smaller feet, plush squishy body, detachable head action! (head may present choking hazard for snake people with dislocating jaws and a penchant for plush troll heads.)
He's going to have yarn hair (a mixture of feather wool, tapestry yarn, felted roving and plush acrylic) and eyes.. eventually!
I've never done yarn hair before so I would greatly, greatly, greatly appreciate any tips from old pros. I did use green felt for his scalp figuring that it'd look better green than purple if his scalp showed through in any parts. And I couldn't find any printable fabric in my local Spotlight, so I guess I'll be going down the fabric paint and appliqued route. But that's a task for tomorrow.
