A new addition to my "desk" (couch) as of last night.
We did cross stitch at Craftea Chat night and while I am not a cross stitcher (my cross stitch is best appreciated at at least arm's length so you can't see my horrible stitches up close), it did make me want to pull out my embroidery floss boxes.
Two of my three (haha, addicted?) embroidery floss boxes.
I have mild OCD so playing with my floss is a harmless way for me to indulge myself. I like to rearrange them by numerical order, and then rearrange again into a rainbow by colour. It's very soothing to play with the spools (bobbins? cards?), and almost meditative to wind the floss onto the cards.
I also get a lot of inspiration just by playing with colour combinations.
Craft Chi shows us how to make your own embroidery cards to get organised:
link. These are really cute and I'd love to print some out myself!
Also on my desk... badges!
Some new, some not so new, all three of them utterly loved!
Top:
I made this one last night at Craftea Club. My first cross stitching! Don't look too close because my stitches aren't so crash hot.
Middle:
Steph made me this lovely mushroom and daisy badge from some of
mscate's material. I just love the feeling of fabric badges (no plastic over the top) and I think I'm hooked!
Bottom:
Cheese and a CHEESE MONSTER! This badge is a present from
Bex and I love it! I love cheese!
More on my desk players.
