Day-to-Day: Tues

Jan 03, 2006 13:12

I am back at work today; we work on English bank holidays rather than Scottish ones, as most of our business is down south.
We have had a fair number of calls today, and are only three in number (out of the usual seven in this office). Oh and I didn't sleep very well last night - cycle is a bit broken - thus am a little shell-shocked. I was hoping that today would be fairly easy, as my manager is not back 'til tomorrow, yet cover for whilst I was away did not go according to plan and as a result I have tonnes of work to catch up on!
I have decided on my first ever New Year's Resolution; I will walk to and from work, rather than using the bus. I am cheating, however... The company has bought its new offices. They are bigger and better, and are a lot closer to my flat than where we currently are. So close, in fact, that to get to work I will only need walk through a park.
We will be moving later this year; February perhaps.
I will be watching my bus usage outside work; might be cheaper to get rid of the bus pass. I say "might" because I tend to bus-hop a lot, and am reluctant to start paying multiple 80p fees... Ridacard is worth 38 singles or 13 day-savers... plus gives £1 off any night-savers.

day-to-day, work
