Summary: For once, Bella exhibits an existence of a spine as she calls Ed Cullen out for breaking into her house.
Author’s Note: The underlined parts are Meyer’s. I decided to mimic gehayi a bit with this one, blending the original text with mine.
For once, I wanted to do something involving a Bella with a brain (as impossible as that idea might sound). This is the outcome of that plan.

I stepped inside, flicked on the porch light, and turned to look at him with my eyebrows raised. I was sure I'd never used that key in front of him. How had he found it, in the first place? Something was boiling inside me, and it surely was not pretty.
"I was curious about you."
"You spied on me?" I tried to keep my voice calm, but it was hard. Edward didn’t seem to be worrying whether I found him breaking in my house unnerving; as a matter of fact, he didn’t even seem to realize the outrage that was just building up inside me. Not really flattering for someone who could read others minds.
He was unrepentant. "What else is there to do at night?"
“Breaking into others’ houses to find out about them is my favourite pastime too when I can’t sleep!” I said venomously, gritting my teeth. I couldn’t believe it - he had actually come here, in my father’s house! Who knew what else he had done? “Did you go through my dirty underwear and diary too? You know, the normal people - the sane people - actually ask questions when they’re curious about others!”
He seemed taken aback by my words.
“I only wanted to know more about you”, he said, finally having a hint of uncertainty in his voice. I glared at him as if my mere gaze could burn holes into him. At least I wished I could do such thing.
“That is no excuse, you crazy moron!” I yelled. How had I been so blind? Letting this obviously dangerous guy in my life? I wanted to kick myself - he himself had said he was dangerous, but I hadn’t even listened to his very well-grounded warnings. What the hell had been wrong with me? I had been lusting after his pretty face and body just like the other girls, the ones I had always despised. Yet here I was, having become one of them. I was worse, actually: I had let this sick monster follow me around just because he was beautiful. I was so disgusted with myself that I wanted to throw up right there and then, preferably on his self-satisfied face.
“But Bella, I just wanted to...” he tried.
“It doesn’t fucking matter what you wanted! What matters is that you broke into my house and for all I knew, you could have been standing there by my bed, watching me sleep! Okay, I get it, you’re dangerous and a vampire. But that is not okay or even remotely romantic! I guess your head is just that far up in your ass that you wouldn’t even consider whether I wanted you to sneak in my house! Here’s the deal - you get the hell out of here, and if you ever even talk to me again, I’m going to tell my dad and have him arrest you!” I practically shrieked now. I was so angry, with him for being such a creepy bastard, and with myself for letting his pretty face enthrall me. I should have known that something that looked so good could only be very, very bad.
Now he smirked with that same condescending manner he often used to. God, how I wanted to punch his stupid face!
“You can’t really fight me off. Nor can your father. I can do whatever I want!” he said smugly.
“Well, if that is the case, I’m gonna call Billy Black right away and ask how you get rid of a vampire nuisance. I’m sure he’d be glad to help me. In fact, I’ve informed him that if anything should happen to me, anything at all, it will probably be your fault. Which is, as his son kindly told me, a severe violation of your treaty”, I said as threateningly as I could, hoping my bluff would deceive him. Luckily it seemed to have some kind of effect - Edward’s arrogant expression faded away and turned into an ugly sneer.
“We’ll see about that. You’re mine now, Bella”, he said, threateningly.
“The fuck I am! I belong to myself and you asshole have no say in that. Now get the hell away before the Quileutes come in and kick your ass halfway to moon!” I scowled and pointed my front finger at the door. For a moment I thought he wouldn’t move, but then he just grimaced at me and left.
When he was gone, I let out a deeb breath, trying to calm myself. I only realized that I was shaking when I sat down by the phone and dialed Jacob’s number - I’d have called Charlie, but I was pretty sure he couldn’t do anything about this supernatural stalker at my heels.
The Quileutes were another matter entirely.
“Jacob? Hey, it’s Bella. Look, is your dad around? I really need to talk with him...”
