glitter garden
hello!
today was absolutely gorgeous!! so i went around the house and then eventually outside taking pictures for a site. i believe in finding the little gems hidden in the ordinary ... or rather in the same things i see everyday.
before i did that though, i saw one of my artworks sitting out that i never posted about before.
there it goes!
( layers of colored tissue paper glued on canvas board, painted over with gesso -- then a linoleum cutter is used to make the cuts .. with a dash of glitter)
the actual thing
after that anna called and we both walked around the neighborhood!! wow. it was really gorgeous out..! the sun was beginning to set and it cast this really beautiful golden glow on everything. it was really nice, until we saw this huge pile of festering ants and i swear i started itching ever since i walked away, even more so when anna stepped on the pile. not nice. then we passed by one of my friends' house and i called him out.. then we walked some more. then it was nice again.
i'm going strawberry hunting this sunday!! i know it's called strawberry picking, but saying hunting makes it sound much more exciting, no :-D? i imagine i'd be charging at the strawberry bushes with spears and nets. now that'd be one heck of a movie scene!!
