good evening,

here is a dump of miscellaneous photos!!

anna, her little sister, and i went to some gardens that i never knew
about that was right next to the lonely italian restaurant near my house.
it was really pleasant. everywhere; trees, flowers, there was so much.

the pond anna and i passed by after the gardens

special carnations.
for my mom from my brother's best friend

behind my yard :)
i like tiny flowers ...

from the strawberry hunt! unfortunately i did not get many pictures ...
busy picking strawberries you know! only got two hands :(

you might notice the pictures look a bit dull or out of focus ...
i really like it-- a lot-- since it reminds me of a lot of things
which i won't get into since this entry is already a novel : )

anyway, it was such a beautiful day yesterday! we went strawberry hunting really late though, maybe around 4 PM. but it was so nice because the sun wasn't as strong and the air was sweet and warm. since we came late, it was a bit of a slim-picking ... the strawberries were so small!!! i never saw them so tiny before! yikes. but they were like little tiny berries of happiness. it kind of made me want to draw smiley faces on all of them, with fashion moles and unibrows -- you know what i mean right? those kinds of silly smiley faces you draw on your friend's notebook when the teacher isn't looking ... unless i'm the only one that does that.

we brought back five baskets of strawberries, and so far we've made chocolate-dipped strawberries and homemade strawberry ice cream! (i'm obsessed with the ice cream maker now. watch out!) and tomorrow i'm going to make strawberry sorbet for my mum! :-D

after that we came home and had a barbeque at my cousin's house across the street! i love this time of the year!!!!

then lightning streaks cracked the purple sky above us and we all cleaned up quickly and went back inside. i ran back home right before the rain came down. as short as the run was (after all it's only a street between our houses), the run was really nice... i always love running. it kind of gives you a purpose, makes you want to give it your all .. makes every worry and every teardrop seem so silly. it reminded me of those movies when you see the hero run across fields of grass. it all felt so very free, not that i'm saying we're not ever free, because i believe we all are -- i think we just need to find the courage and our wings -- but the feeling of being free was so pure, so infinite.

while everyone retreated into the basement and started playing poker and laughed the night away, i went back up to my room, turned off all the lights except my favorite one next to my bed and listened to light music and the pattering raindrops pouring outside. and i just kind of laid there; thinking about all that could ever be.
