Across the Universe
"You cross the universe for good sex," Jack once told his team; "you still end up dying alone."
He had died alone too often.
Looking up at the stars, he wondering if the Doctor now travelled alone. With Rose dead... probably not. He'd probably found another companion, to question, argue, get into trouble, and get him out of it.
If Jack died again today, he would not be alone. He had Ianto (that's where the good sex came into it) and the Torchwood team. He trusted them. Loved them, even.
Across the universe, he hoped the Doctor had as much.
