I wanted to look at the relationship between Caroline and Carol over the series. Because I think it's clear that they had a relationship even before she was in a relationship with Tyler, even if they have few onscreen interactions.

In large measure, Damon Salvatore's character development and history makes perfect sense to me. I adore the arc that starts (chronologically) with a privileged, playful, and sensitive son of the antebellum South and ends with the sarcastic, love-sick sociopath we met in the first season of The Vampire Diaries.
