That was a project and a half.
I helped finish off the kiddie project yesterday with whole bunch of other folks. Raditz's dream finally got realized. It feels good to be a part of something non-destructive. Never really thought I'd hear myself saying that though.
There's a lot of things I thought I'd never find myself saying these days. The other day I said, "Already got my millions, my penthouse suite, my Harley. Seems to be good enough for now. Well, I think now has just gotten better. I have a girlfriend like Melanie. Yep, I'm a taken man now. Means I gotta change my ways a bit, but I know all of it is worth it. She's definitely worth it.
Even when I went home last night I really couldn't stop myself from thinking about her. I guess you can call me a love-struck fool right now. I think I'm calling myself that.
I noticed how extremely busy Mel is now, juggling a full schedule of classes and her job. I know she can handle it, but I don't want her running herself into the ground. I want to make sure that she knows that if she ever needs anything, not to hesitate to ask me.
I think I'm gonna make myself useful and head over to the college to catch Mel after her last class. This time I think I'll hand her something better than a paintbrush...how does a few dozen roses sound?
