my feet hurt from standing up in the kitchen for so long!
The tally for what I've baked so far this weekend:
1. Honey chocolate chip cookies
2. Poppyseed muffins
3. Chicken pot pie
4. Cinnamon sweet bread
5. Gingerbread muffins
6. Chewy chocolate chip cookies
I've also made the batter for molasses cookies, which I'll bake later, and then I need to go to the grocery store to get the ingredients to make spinach lasagna, which we're having for dinner tonight. I feel very accomplished. :) (I think Dad is slightly baffled by why I'm baking so much, though... but it's all freezable!)
Small wonder I haven't gotten much work done this weekend, huh? It doesn't help that the readings for this week are boring; they're about varieties of capitalism, so corporatist market economies vs. liberal market economies, kind of aka Germany-style vs. US-style. It's gotten more interesting as I've gone along, but it's not really 108 pages worth of interesting...
It's nice to be home, even if it is just for the weekend. I have to say, I love my schedule this semester; not having class on Fridays is a true gift!
