Unpacking

Spent the day unpacking, resting, warming up the house (gently kicks dear brother for not turning fan on), resting, dealing with stupid physio aftermath, resting some more.

Home care agency that was supposed to provide me with professional physio care called to tell me I was discharged. I shared my chagrin at the failure of physio to meet any level of professional standard. Then idiot case manager tried to use my trip to Costa Rica as a reason why not to give me care. I explained in simple language that my trip was to complete treatment for the facial trauma I suffered, that I couldn't afford in Canada. She didn't believe it, never heard of medical tourism. So when she offered Sr Manager to call, I accepted. I hit the play button on the whole damn story all over. Then when this person mentioned the trip, and asked how I coped, I told her. Lots of drugs, lots of rest, wheelchair in the airport. I've sent an email to the Head Injury Clinic asking for help, as these folks just don't get it.

Worky work - people died, others are in hospital, thus I have very few people to see. Need to drum up business. Sadly, it won't be long before there are more than I can handle.

I may have discovered a way to save a bit of money - pennies really, but they add up. Wash your clothes without detergent. Well, not knickers and socks. I put a load of dark clothes in the washer, but trying to do too much at the same time, I fiddled around with the hand-washing stuff, bras etc, and totally forgot to put detergent in. Remembered as I took the darks out. Rather than re-wash them, I googled and discovered that they will probably be ok. Recalls scenes of women washing clothes in rivers without soap.

work, home, rant, medical tourism, cracked pot
