TMI

I read a few blogs. Today the author of a design blog I had enjoyed for several years decided I needed to know who she had sexxors with. I don't care if you have sexxors with whales, men, women, or turtles (I'm sure there are laws against sex with whales, and it might be kind of tricky with turtles, as well as being against the law).  However, I read that blog to find inspiration for design in my home, not to learn more about the bloggers sex life, what they drive or how they hang the toilet paper roll.
I know being gay is the new black. I have gay friends, take care of gay people who are sick. Don't discriminate. But I don't burden my patients/work colleagues with the gritty details about my personal life. I do share that I have two dogs, like to garden and sometimes dress up like I live in the middle ages. That is to break the ice and 'share' a bit so that my knowing far too much about them isn't too uncomfortable. I don't tell them I read p0rn, find Severus Snape dead sexy and sometimes leave my kitchen in a dreadful state for days on end. I save all that for my family and friends. I tend to keep private any discord in my family. My mum always said it's not right to wash your dirty linen in public. I don't know what she'd think of the current 'reality' tv shows where women tell everyone they don't know who the daddy is?

Today is the 14th anniversary of my mother's tragic death. She was a special woman and we were lucky to have her. Each time I drive down my road, I'm reminded of her. We were honored when the road was named after her and I find comfort in knowing that others thought she was special too.

Sophie is doing well. Culture results came back today, none of the meds were the right ones. However, the good news is that there is a drug and the injection lasts 14 days. She will get a second dose in two weeks and hopefully that will be the end of puppy pee puddles.
