Drove to nearby big town- 50 km each way, for dental appt, car repair (recall work and fix seatbelts), a bit of shopping. Left here at 1pm, back home 6 hours later. Achieved: found garden sprinkler, screen door thingys, sun shade for camping next week, yogurt, fabric (which I really didn't need), gas tank straps replaced. Not done: dental work- dentist had a difficult emergency, so my appt cancelled. They couldn't fix seat belts. I now have to try and find some online. New dealer parts are $300 each, from wreckers, $335 for a pair. Online store, they appear to be about $40 each. Just waiting to get confirmation that they are the right parts.
I'm tired, head aches, episodes of not quite right - dizzy, some nausea with rapid movement.
On my way home, an email came with a warning of a severe thunderstorm. Oh no, my laundry was outside drying. Was rushing, but then I saw a biker and his girl. They had wiped out on soft shoulder. She had a very sore arm, ? broken collarbone. Didn't want to call 911, so I splinted her arm and they drove off to the hospital - I hope.
Arrived home, fed dogs, fed me. Searched for seat belts online. Laundry brought inside. It's still very humid here. My plans for doing some stuff this evening have been put to one side. Busy work day Friday, I'm the only RN in the area. Too many sick people to see.
