They go at it for a couple of minutes, notices that Sato is looking bored and asks him an easy question, he takes awhile and then says he doesn’t feel like he can win, everyone laughs, they move on.

Apparently Nino carries a lot of 1 000 yen bills, he purposely exchanges for them to put in his wallet cause it “makes him feel like he has a lot of money.”

*Concert MC tidbit
They were talking about which side of a person they prefer to stand while talking to that person. Hina likes to stand on the left and talk to the person on his right. Then Yoko steeerrrs it to how they stand during concert MC.
Yoko : During our concerts, we always stand at the end.
Sato : Why?
Yoko : Cause we talk the most!
It seemed like they started with them both standing in the middle, but then they noticed that they couldn’t see the rest of the members’ faces, so now they divide up and stand at both ends.
Wow, that was a bit sucky. Sorry, I understood very little that week… it’s a bit harder to listen especially if they have a guest on who I don’t know very much about cause they talk about stuff that I don’t really know/understand. So…yeah.
BUT! TO MAKE UP FOR THIS…I HAVE BITS FROM THE FIRST SHOW OF THE 2007 YEAR WHERE THEY TALK ABOUT COUNTDOWN. (also wanted to note it for myself cause...goodstuff)

1) Remember how Hina was bitching to Koichi about not having received any New Year’s Present (money) on DomotoKyoudai back in June? (I’VE PROBABLY WATCHED THAT ONE SHOW < 20 TIMES, IT’S MY GO TO SHOW WHEN I’M STUDYING AND NEED A LAUGH TO WAKE ME UP THEN I HAVE TO WATCH HEYHEYHEY THEYJUSTHAVETOGOTOGETHERK? AND BEFORE I KNOW IT IT’S 3 HOURS LATER AND I’M IN THE MIDDLE OF A HONJANI/SUKAJ MARATHON…BUT I DIGRESS…)
Anyway, Hina tells the story about how he FINALLY got money from Koichi. THE DAY BEFORE (THE 31ST), Hina sent a mail to Koichi basically asking him if he remembers what day is coming. Because Koichi didn’t reply, Hina thought that he probably got the idea. Then! 30 minutes before Countdown, Hina goes to Koichi’s dressing room and asks him again if he knows what day it is. Koichi seems like he doesn’t know, so Hina asks straight out for New Year’s money/gift and leaves. Then Koichi’s manager comes over and calls Hina back to his dressing room, where Koichi is holding two envelops/packets/those thing out put money in and asks Hina to pick one. One’s 10 000 yen and the other’s only 1 000 yen. Hina picks the one with 1 000 yen.
Yoko : So you basically extorted the man eh?
HAHAHAA, TRUE. I GUESS HINA REALLY WANTED THAT MONEY.
NOTE: I think it was on…KikuJani (another radio show Kanjani has, they’re on the radio a lot, maybe I’ll talk about it once I’m all catch up and have more time) where Yasu told the same story. Apparently, he was with Hina when they visited Koichi and ended getting the 10 000 yen. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHYAYYASU!
2) They talked about how hard the dance for “Good Day” was, how they had very little time to prepare for it. And when they were practicing, V6 Innochi came over (without a shirt on. THEY SAID IT, I’M JUST RELAYING IT) and they ran through the whole thing 4 times together which led to…
Yoko : I’ve come to really like the song now!
Hina : Did you dance it properly?
Yoko : No!
Hina : Me and Yasu did it perfectly.
THEY REALLY DID. BEST DANCERS OF THE GROUP RIGHT THERE.
So because during the performance Innochi was dancing near where Yoko was, so Yoko decided just to copy what he did. But then TOKIO’s Matsuoka came (Hina : Ah, he came. That person’s really free eh?) and started to mess with Innochi, and this left Yoko with no one to copy the dance moves off…so he decided to screw it with the dance and mess around too. HEH.
3) Yoko received compliments on his hair from some of his sempais, how it looks “refreshing.” Yoko started wondering if they knew why he had cut it, but then Innochi went…
”Ah, you’ve cut your hair…why? Did you lose a game or something?”
So now Innochi probably thinks that Yoko’s totally in variety entertainment end now. HAHAHAHAHA.
I’M ON A BIT OF A ROLL NOW…MIGHT AS WELL SUMMARIZE THE REST OF THE SHOW CAUSE THERE ISN’T THAT MUCH.
Yoko started out talking about how while he was on the train, there was this really pretty foreign girl with blonde hair (he thought she looked American) there and…I’m not sure what happened…didn’t really understand what he said until the part where Yoko said he fell asleep playing the DS and when he woke up, he and the girl’s eyes met. Then he had to stand up to…check something? And his fly was completely open. He thought the girl was probably laughing at him cause she had this smile on her face…
I’M NOT SURE ABOUT THE WHOLE THING BUT THE GIST OF IT IS THAT YOKO WAS ON THE TRAIN WITH HIS FLY OPEN.
This train talk led to Yoko lecturing about unreserved seats on the bullet trains. Basically, aim for the first car because people usually stay around at car 3, odd numbered cars have more seats, it’s easier to stand at the inner side…ALRIGHT, I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HE’S TALKING ABOUT. BUT YOKO = EXPERT ON UNRESERVED SEATS ON THE TRAIN.
Hina and Maru took a trip together to somewhere within Japan during their 3 days off.
Yoko: Again?
NOTE : Last year Hina and Maru took a trip (4 or 5 days) to Korea, and after some probing, said on the show that their trip coordinator had cost 80 000 yen which STUNNED Yoko (really, he couldn’t talk for a bit). Listeners also wrote in how they had Hina wrong, they thought it was just a average joe but it turns out he’s rich (they all sounded very disappointed in him, HILAROUS… KANJANI FANS ARE THE BEST). Hina keeps denying it and keeps repeating how it was 40 000 yen EACH. Now whenever Hina talks about anything related to money, Yoko will bring up the 80 000 yen. Like when Hina talked how his brother trashed his beloved car, he mentioned that he/his family has 2 cars, and Yoko butts in and says “You spent 80 000 yen on a coordinator for Korea, just buy a third car!” And so on…in fact, “80 000 yen” is actually a lyric in the OsakaTaro’s song. HAHAHAAHAHA. Anyway, I’m pretty sure Yoko’s not ever going to let this go so if he brings it up again now you’ll know what he’s talking about. Or if you already knew, then… wasn’t it fun laughing about it again?
The week before, they had a game where Yoko and Hina guessed the outcome of some of the major year end sports/entertainment events, so they spent the bulk of the show revealing the results. Hina lost and has to do a manzai act with K Taro on the spot.
Hina : It’s gonna get painful from the third line on.
Yoko : It’s K Taro and Osaka Taro! Hahahahaah.
They start…I guess it’s going quite badly cause Hina kinda just gives up halfway and calls K Taro impossible.

Yoko says he’s been so busy playing to sleep, right now (then) he’s caught up in playing “Dragon Quest.” He talks more about what he did those 3 days : play PS2 on the television, lie on the bed and play DS, sleep a little, wake up and read some Dragon Ball… and says how perfect it would have been if there was also beer. Then Hina calls him a “useless man.” The whole time Yoko’s talking, Hina and K Taro are just laughing at him.

Yoko says that he doesn’t go shopping much. How he spends the whole day in his pajamas and if he needs to go out to get something, he’ll just throw on a jacket and wear sandals. Hina calls him a typical Yankee (a juvenile delinquent).
