It was pretty nice, went down to a festival on Union st. - turned out it was mainly for kids (like amazing for kids, carnival rides and pony rides and all kinds of stuff), but we had fun watching and eating :P How about you?
It was about the phenomenon in general, but they focused on a few specific MCs: https://www.viceland.com/en_us/topic/baile-funk I thought it was interesting! I think organically forming locality-based musical movements are cool...but the songs all sounded the same :P I'm still confused about the role of gang warfare in the movement; like is it a known thing that those murdered MCs were actually killed by the police, or is that speculation? Hmm. Anyway, the show's called Noisey, seems cool if you're interested in localized musical environments ^^ And I want a gamecation too!!
