Updated Vitta-Vera over the weekend! A few of the newcomers to the gallery, more at the site:

Still painting, still talking with some wonderful clients, still grateful for all ^^
And in other news, I hope all mothers had a sweet and loving Mother's day!
First things first, it wasn't cancer ^^ The big cyst is still there, might grow, and I need to check the size in a couple months so it doesn't become a mechanical problem, but signs of cancer are not there! I'm incredibly relieved and the ob/gyn was very nice about things - I basically articulated right at the beginning that I was freaking out after 5 months of no information, so he explained what he knew clearly with no bullshit. It's not a problem yet, but it needs to be watched. And R's mom was SO sweet and supportive about my fears, I won't forget it.

Sadly I haven't been too able to enjoy my relief much, as we've finally come to the conclusion that we have to move, for real. I think I'll shift that to the next post because it's pretty long and morose. It's just the next bit to worry about, there's always one more bit :P I did have some happy moments in the past few weeks, though! At the beginning of the month R's sister threw a scrumptious birthday brunch - gotta put eggs on my lox more often - and there I talked to some of their family friends about their move to Hawaii (big island). They're cashing out on the crazy SF housing prices and basically retiring to tropical artist dreamland with horses (yes I am jelly). Apparently if you don't care so much about city life (and the possibility of your house being destroyed by lava every once in a while) it's really affordable to live there, even for us (I do still care about city life, but I could see that turning around - if I could go back to the beautiful, mellow place I was born and begin a new life that'd seriously kill the sadness about leaving SF :) Can't do it right now because of the R's clients thing, but something to think about! And the week before we got to see R's friends, hang out some, eat yakisoba, bitch about the times - and caught the end of the Pacquiao fight (man, if I'd paid to see that I'd've been pissed).

Also rediscovered a forgotten candy shop (The Candy Store in Russian Hill has awesome strawberry crunch rolls and pillow-mint lollies, note to self - ooh, and at Susiecakes on Chestnut the buttercream just straight up tastes like butter, beautifully and not overwhelmingly ^^), had a pretty hilarious time scouting out new homes so far (more later), and spent a little time with both R's and my mom today, ate yummy ramen, had our gifts happily received, and picked up the new Dollybird. Coming up, might go to Fanime con if we can justify the cost, and got tix to Anthem in June - besides the Pharcyde (or what's left of them) there're not a lot of names I know, but hoping to have some good old fashioned fun like in my college massive days ^^ Just not sure if we'll be driving there from a home in SF or not ><

Eep, this week's Mad Men ;_;
