I found this short video of one of James Turrell's pieces on you tube that was pretty good, so I thought I would share. I've been having to research Turrell, because I chose his piece, Acton, at the IMA to do my museum project assignment on for Art Ed. Turrell's work on whole focuses on light and space and how we perceive it.

This is one of the promotional episodes for the Roman Art from the Louvre exhibit which is currently on display at the IMA until January 6th. I spent the afternoon at the IMA going through the exhibit, and I must say it is really a rare treat indeed to see so many ancient Roman artworks in one place and in the US. Really the experience this show gives you can get nowhere else except the Louvre, or some of the other large museums in Europe. I would encourage everyone in the Midwest to come see this show! There are some seriously incredible feats of sculpture! Also I should mention that this show is only going to two other cities after it leaves Indianapolis. Next it is headed to Seattle, and should be on display sometime in February, and after that it will come to Oklahoma City. So I encourage friends on the west coast to go see it! Also I consider it a very worthwhile roadtrip! For more information and fun promotional videos you can visit:
