if you were thinking about doing nanowrimo this year,
the site is ready for you. what this really means is the forums are ready for you. :D well, ready for me anyway. tiiiime siiiink. now i just have to figure out what i want to write. >.<
yesterday i made
carrot pickles. the recipe calls for a pound of carrots and only a cup and a half of liquid, which didn't seem enough then and doesn't seem enough now. the carrot pickles however are yummy.
in that vein, sort of, does anyone watch cooking vloggers on youtube? if so, can you rec any? bonus points for the nerdy/geeky cooks. :D
still really enjoying my new tiny laptop (still haven't recreated my playlists but i'm having an attack of lazy and also tumblr is such a time sink) except for the fact that it keeps dropping the wifi. for no reason. when i'm trying to do something. i think it's a tumblr problem. maybe this is a sign i need to get off the hellsite?
this is really cool -
a whole pile of jewish ritual objects disguised as a teapot. including an entire seder plate. and a menorah. and shabbat candlesticks. and a tiny dreidel. and a tiny megilla, which is the story of esther printed on a scroll. apparently the poster got it from their grandfather. it was originally made during the inquisition what a show when, you know, jews had a choice of basically conversion or death. or i guess fleeing to a friendlier country, or to a colony. i wonder if the teapot had been handed down through the family, or if grandpa bought it somewhere. super cool, in any case.
