my job got fractionally better, also there were dogs

i officially moved up to tax today - after the requisite couple of hours sitting at reception - and i am officially staying there at least until october 15, because that's the end of their busy season. (which is good, because i'm going to pittsburgh for wincon on the 16th.) i didn't have a lot to do today, but i still have to be trained on a bunch of things, and in any case i won't lose my job because the company decided to get rid of it. and sometimes you really need a change of scenery.

i'm still doing reception, and i'm less than thrilled about that, but people who can do something about it are well aware of the fact i might not be able to stay chained to the front desk once tax gets really busy. hopefully they'll get me off the desk.

the fort worth love train - for dogs. a couple of retired brothers started taking in strays, and before you know it, one of them is driving the dogs around behind his tractor. awww.
