on thursday i got a wild hair up my ass and wrote a spn au that can charitably be called "vague". also possibly "weird". and also also "short". (like about 600 words.) would anyone be willing to read it and give me an opinion?
today is my dad's birthday (everyone say happy birthday! :D ) so the fam went out for dinner last night and i ate too much. >.< i had gnocchi with thumper rabbit and it was delish, and i had a fabulous cocktail with rye and cherries and an orange slice. i even got home in time to see the season finale of defiance, which was a good season finale, and if they don't get another season, it was a good end to the series. the wigs still aren't great, tho.
and now i'm watching the hannibal finale and so far have no opinion except that it's making sense. the second half of the season was much better for this than the first half. it's such a weird, dark, occasionally appallingly - and squickifyingly - graphic show, but i think i'm going to miss it.
i will not however miss hannibal's terrible suits.
speaking of weird, dark, and squickifying, i bring you icelandic necropants. they're made out of someone's skin. they were apparently for good luck.
star wars ad! showing a huge variety of star wars fen! it makes me all nostalgic.
check out this teacher's harry potter-themed classroom. she even has a plush fluffy and a plush scabbers among the potions and signs and prefect's table.
the drought in northern california has meant (among other things) a decrease in san francisco business owners hosing down the sidewalks in front of their businesses, which combined with the lack of public toilets, has meant an increase in public pee, which aside from general stinkiness is also structurally corrosive. as in, a light pole fell on a guy's car because all the pee had eroded the base. oops.
