i watched hannibal and did not want to upchuck my dinner (much)

i finally watched hannibal from last week, and it actually made sense! well, aside from one thing, and that thing is: how the hell is will still alive? it seems that he's injured in pretty much every episode. and then hung upside-down for an indeterminate length of time.

i love that when he tells hannibal "i never want to see you again, i don't even want to know where you are", hannibal's reaction is to turn himself in so will is always going to know where he is. you can't escape him if he doesn't want to leave you, will.

will misses his dogs! because of course he does. i miss his dogs too.

now i'm watching killjoys, which is as per usual interesting and fun and vaguely conspiracy-minded and mysterious.

this is actually yesterday's news, but nasa data discovers a planet very much like ours. it's a little bigger than earth, but it's in the habitable zone of its sun, meaning it could sustain life. cool, huh?

associated press releases thousands of newsreel clips on youtube. ultimately there will be half a million of them.

back before women carried purses of a decent size, they carried around their little necessary things on a piece of jewelry called a chatelaine. they were pretty cool.

mom can't find black widow dolls for her daughter, so she paints one. (she's not good with doll clothes.) black widow is followed by a bunch of other nerdy-geeky ladies. daughter is delighted. so is internet.

outer space, hannibal, killjoys, vintage fashion, geekery, historical record, a++ parenting
