so today the office was closed because the t was shut down, which mostly means i got to sleep in and i didn't get dressed until almost eleven. and it felt soooo good. i went out to shovel my car and was IMMENSELY helped by a kind neighbor who offered to help. i thanked him about five times because seriously, there was a lot of heavy snow and i am so done with shoveling.
me and the rest of boston, i know.

after:
at some point during my shoveling my internet went out, which it does from time to time (i have a new modem and i pay comcast good money and every so often i lose the signal), so i called comcast to get them to basically zap the modem, and the mostly helpful csr said the signal was weak and they need to send a technician. i said i need to be able to get online because hey, i'm working from home and if i can't get online, i can't do anything. she said i could get a tech tomorrow morning at nine. i said i have to be at work at eight-thirty and i'm not giving up any more time to comcast. she said i could get a tech on saturday. (much better.) i still didn't have internet, tho. i wondered if maybe comcast was fucking around with the signal because i'm late paying my bill, so i called back to pay it, and the (actually kind of entertaining) csr tried to sell me on the cable/internet/phone bundle, which means that when my internet goes out - as it does from time to time - i lose the phone too.
i said i was understandably wary. ie, are you fucking kidding me?
still no internet, so i shut down my work laptop, watched the end of snow white and the huntsman, and went down the street to the little coffeehouse, got lunch, and wrote about 2600 words of bigbang. go me. no smut this time, tho.
also there was some snow.
(those are someone's front steps. somewhere.)
driveway! seriously.
we've gotten
almost a gronkowski's worth of snow. there's so much snow we don't have anywhere to put it, and the mayor got permission to dump it in the harbor. (normally a big environmental no.) i honestly think i'd like all this snow better if i didn't have to dig out my car every single time it dumped on us.
i'm not up for liveblogging, so just imagine my squee and flail over agent carter. there's a lot of squee and flail.
one thing, tho: were peggy and the howling commandos and co sent to that warehouse in belarus so they could find the psychiatrist so he could surrender and they could bring him back to the us so he could connect with dottie? because that's kind of convoluted. and impressive. i'll just say that i love watching peggy beat people up and i think jarvis is adorable. and the short season in general makes for much tighter storytelling, and i really like that. also, angie. i love angie.
quickie theory about justified:
katherine hale snitched on her husband, possibly with markham's collusion, to get rid of him, and now she's hired boyd to not just rob markham but blow his head off, so she can get rid of him too and be the only one in charge. mostly because i don't trust her and i think she's more ambitious and more ruthless than she lets on.
brits being quizzed on their britishness - judi dench is especially adorable.
