my cousin's birthday party that was supposed to be at eight tonight was canceled on account of incipient snow - and somerville called a snow emergency from this afternoon on - but as of right now we've gotten maybe a couple of inches. i guess we're supposed to get a lot more later. the t is running a reduced schedule tomorrow but i think i've figured out how to get to work in less than two hours. (take a different bus.) we'll see what happens.
i got everything done today that i needed to get done, altho most of it i didn't do until tonight. >.< but i watered my mom's plants and iced the orchids and went to the grocery store and parked on the appropriate side of the street all before i had breakfast. (which, ok, i had some cereal at one, but whatever.) and then i sat on my ass for the rest of the day. ahem. so it was a slow day and a productive day at the same time. i even gave some thought to my bigbang, mostly "ok, so now what do i do?" and "how am i going to work this person into the story?" no writing, just thinking.
as i was driving to the grocery store i passed a woman who was standing on the roof of her garage, shoveling off all the snow.
i made a lovely spinach quiche for dinner which is essentially two bricks of frozen spinach baked in a pie shell, with some egg and cheese to hold it together and some onions for variety. seriously, it's almost solid spinach. it's also kinda soggy. my kitchen smells really good, tho. (it's the onions. fried onions are a persistent smell.) i had a giant piece for dinner and i'm still hungry. oy, self. i'm also cold, but that's an easy fix.
