comics make for a better day

i think it's snowing. i know you're all surprised. it wasn't horrible to walk in, tho.

in much more cheerful news, i managed one sex scene and one non-sex scene for my bigbang today, and i am so not concerned about making the word count. i'm not totally sure how to structure the story, but whatever, i have slightly less than three months to figure it out. at least i have an idea what happens in general, altho i still don't know how it ends. which, again, slightly less than three months. not worried.

unfortunately i want to share some of the totally ridiculous random shit, and I CAN'T. it's really ridiculous.

at the comic shop (new hawkeye! new saga! new love and rockets! i'm very excited) i learned that a. angus young (from ac/dc) came in once and the store owner thought he was a shoplifter because he looked like one (he didn't actually steal anything), b. robin wright spent some quality time talking to one of the (now former) employees until the owner said, basically, "anthony, dude, we have work to do" and she left, and anthony went "THAT WAS ROBIN WRIGHT" and the owner went "oh shit, i'm so sorry", and c. natalie portman came in, bought something, left, and one of the employees was all "natalie portman!" and the owner was all "next time tell me!" and the employee was all "dude, you helped her find a t-shirt". also crazy ben foster came up in conversation which meant i got to pimp 30 days of night. and apparently hbo started broadcasting in 1972, to like 8000 homes in pennsylvania. o.O

i love my local comic shop, have i ever mentioned? i have some of the weirdest, most informative conversations there.

i had a nice vietnamese pork chop for dinner and i walked a lot in the cold and the snow, and did i mention i got a bunch of new comics and wrote a few thousand words for my bigbang? so it was a much better day than pretty much any day this past week.

aaaaaand tomorrow it's supposed to snow and i have to go out to my parents' house and ice the orchids. yay?

bigbang 2015, i love where i live, comics
