I'm totally green at this, you would think after modding another comm for like 4 years I would know how to do this by now- lies lies. Also pimping is encouraged *waves*.

About You-

TSN Fandom-
Favourite characters/scenes in the film: My favorite character is Maaarrrrk because he just...I want to take care of him. / My favorite scene is Tyler, Cam, and Divya back in the Winklevii HQ ranting and raving about 'the facebook' and Tyler is slicked back hair and Patriots hoodie and jeans that fall correctly and all "I'm 6'5", 220, and there are two of me." Because obviously some revolutionary cinema. It has nothing to do that my brain went there. Obviously.
Things you think were too fictional or poorly done in the film: The portrayal of women. I realize that it's very likely intention because we're seeing them from the point of view of two angry college kids in the midst of a lawsuit, but still, it's really bothersome. I could write an essay on this, but I'll spare you.
How you participate in fandom: I write. And I aggravate others to write things.
Favourite kinkmeme fills: Mine. I had to; I'm sorry. But no really, there are so many good fills. I'm ( ... )

I KNOW! Well, actually, I knew because I was into Cameron/Tyler, but stiil. Thor/Loki instantly became my OTP within seconds of seeing them interact on screen (on a side note, I don't know if you've seen the cut scenes or not, oh my holy god. I have a rant saved up on those cut scenes, but I'm restraining myself, but basically, they're even more couple-y in those).

I totally blame Tom, too. His Loki is just...I hate to sound cliche, but he's so tragic and flawed and hurt and I get into arguments with people about him because he wasn't some singled-minded villain. He had a lot of nuance and the part was actually written with a fair amount of nuance to begin with (at least, I think so - finding out you're a Frost Giant, those things you've been raised to hate. I feel that in and of itself was a really nice look at the Loki character and his motivations) and Tom was just brilliant.

...oh hai~ I wrote an essay.

Before this, my incest kink was limited to twincest, but god, Thor definitely changed my mind posthaste. It's clear that they're Meant For Each Other ™ and no one else will do. I felt none of the chemistry between Thor and anyone else as compared to when he was just winking at Loki during his coronation. A total instant spark. I felt like that was such an telling moment in the film (please forgive me, I once analyzed three sentences about opening a window into a 1000 word paper and my professor and I agree that I definitely need a lot more room to explore the ideas I was bringing up - and the three sentence window-opening scene was just evidence in my original essay conception HAHAHA!). But right, the moment is so telling between them - Thor's arrogance with the wink, the way he smiled and Loki just looking sort of exasperated, but so proud and I thought, well, that's the relationship between them, isn't it? Thor, this sort of loud, proud warrior. He's not a bad person, by any means; he's just young, still and he revels in his ( ... )

I had so much more to say about this - and still do! - but the holidays happened and I diedThe Avengers movie is going to kill my soul. I just know it! How is Thor going to able to stand it? I swear, if they make Thor all ~rawr I am a manly man and will fight this villain I called brother for so many ages, I will die. My heart will never be whole again. (I also just found out about Thor 2! I am so excited afkajs!) I'm just hoping it's not a Jane/Thor lovefest. I genuinely dislike her as a character. I think it's probably because she's played by Natalie Portman who...I'm sorry, but I just can't stand her. She took what could have been an interesting character - someone smart and capable and a fucking physicist! - and, I don't know. It's hard to explain, but I felt like she completely undermined the character by making her into this teenage girl. She used this baby voice and played up this starry-eyed little girl crush and I'm like really? You have to split this character into little girl crush and serious physicist. You ( ... )

It's mine, too! It and Love Actually. I could watch them forever. I actually have a big Jack mug sitting next to me right now. And jar with Sally on the front and "deadly night shade" on the back. It makes me so happy.

Haha, when it's actually "holiday season" or whatever, then I like to save it up for that to cheer myself up. (I don't like the holidays, so.) I'll watch it during July, but not November until the day after Thanksgiving. Like I said, I save it and there's a really nice excitement that comes with it. Almost like you're waiting to see it in theatre's again.
