In fog watch form, the Master and the Doctor end up students at Harvard, but their personality actually kind of leaks through. Ever wonder how an econ major who's a junior and a freshman CS major become friends? It's because subconscious time lord-yness bonded them together. Duh. Maybe they de-humanify just after the deposition? Maybe a lot after? Just give me time lord fic!

What I've written so far is based on/follows the timelines of Community 1.01 and 1.02, Pilot and Spanish 101. Most straight up dialogue from Community is in quotes, but mostly what Jeff says in the first part is from the show (I watched while I wrote) and there are little references to the actual script here and there. Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with The Social Network or Community in any capacity besides being a fan. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it.
On the first day of the semester, Dean Pelton says that community college is for remedial teens, twenty-something dropouts, and middle aged divorcees.
He says nothing about teens that spent their high school career excelling at one thing, like computers, to the absolute exclusion of everything else, or whose once-wealthy fathers lost their fortunes in the stock market crash and can't afford Harvard.
Mark ends up in Spanish because his parents keep hounding him to learn a language - "A useful language, Mark, Latin doesn't count" - and Eduardo ends up

The group seems to love Jeff. Mark doesn't really get it.
He and Eduardo walk to the library together after Spanish. Eduardo always seems to be hanging around, and Mark doesn't have the heart or the energy to shake him. Also, Eduardo's smart, and he seems to find Mark brilliant and hilarious, and Mark values that in people.
"Señor Chang is crazy," Eduardo says. "Did he say he was going to bite people?"
"I think el tigre chino was using a figure of speech."
Eduardo nods. "Well, I'm glad we got matching cards. I think I trust you more than anybody in the group."
Mark looks at Eduardo, his brows furrowed, and frowns, wanting to ask Why? Eduardo doesn't even know him. Instead, he just shrugs

In the library, they run into Troy and Abed, who are trying out different friendship handshakes, slapping chests and bumping fists and hopping on one foot. Mark only barely resists the urge to snort at them. They look ridiculous
