Gracie woke up full of energy today. She rolled around in bed and snuggled, having jumped up on it herself. She didn't cough or struggle in any way. Having had sushi (her favorite food) last night, she had croissants with extra butter for breakfast. And a big bowl of kibble (lamb and rice). She and the husby spent the morning playing fetch with her basset brothers. Who didn't bark or howl for once. And she sniffed at her rabbit buddies. And when our friend, the vet arrived, she was happy to see them.
Gracie laid her head in her daddy's lap and fell asleep. Hobo gave her one last bop, then went to say thank you to the vet and her husband.
It was all we could have asked for. And when the big Samoan gentleman came to pick her up, he was thrilled to see his old house. He patted her head, said something in his language, then picked her up and took her out in to the bright sunny day.
There are no coincidences, folks. Be gentle to each other today and full of grace.
