I've admired Rufus Wainwright immensely for some years now, and I had the privilege of seeing him play three times while I was still in the UK. So it was with great, great glee that I saw this announcement:

In a nice change of pace, last night I dreamt that I was at my high school farewell assembly. Except this time the entertainment was none other than Rufus Wainwright, and I somehow got invited on stage to either sing or play (because it had a fabulous trumpet riff) along to Beautiful Child (one of my top five favourite Rufus songs EVER) with him. ♥

Right, where do I start?

Last night was just wonderful. The venue was at the old Grand Opera House, which is this really small and cosy theatre just 15 minutes away. When we got there and saw Rufus's bus parked outside in the street, I think that was when all the four of us girls realised that we're seeing Rufus Wainwright in concert.
