Oh, sweet shrieking Jesus, winter in Minnesota is beautiful. Perhaps this weekend I shall go out and take pictures of it and post them for my sisters so they can see what they're missing.

It only just occurred to me this weekend that summer is not going to last forever, and that realization made me sad. That is so not like me. I've bitched and moaned about the misery that is summer for years, trying to will the season to pass more quickly and hoping desperately to see a colored leaf on a tree so that I can say I got to enjoy ( Read more... )

So. I cannot feel a difference between 1 (one!) degree and -5.2 degrees. I can, however, feel a difference between -5.2 and negative fifteen. That was Really. Really. Cold. I wasn't out in it long, though, so it wasn't a miserable thing.

I am still enchanted and charmed. Winter is making me happy.
