Not completely lost....
I haven't been on a lot lately, life happens in those unexpected moments and moves you forward and away from the computer at times. But I haven't forgotten my LJ friends. You are all in my thoughts, and I am excited for all of your accomplishments and grieve with your through your losses.
Things here are good. Work is busy but manageable at the moment. I picked up a summer student assistant position. I will be researching California Librarians. I e-mailed the professor when I saw that she was looking for someone in the Sacramento area. Didn't even know that it was paid. *lol* When I found out, I was excited thinking I would be making somewhere in the region of minimum wage... nope... $17 an hour! That'll be around a 1000 bucks give or take some taxes. Will certianly help me pay for my last two semesters of grad school. Speaking of which... holy sh#$, I just said it... my last two semesters of grad school. How very cool is that?
Housesitting at a friend's house this weekend. Another little bit of scratch. I am putting it away towards my June trip to Cambria with Mom. :)
Speaking of mom... her book is back at Amazon for printing, her cover art should be ready soon. Looking at a June release I am thinking. :) She already has someone who is willing to give her some space in her shop during a downtown street fair for signings, and she will be working with a bona fide hollywood screen writer over the summer to turn her novel into a television pilot. Couldn't be more proud of her! Will keep you all posted on her release date. Not that I am partial or anything, but it's a damn good book if I do say so myself. A crime,cop, ghost drama/thriller!
That's about all for now. I am off to vacuum the living room before heading back to my friends to feed her cats and spend an hour or so before I come back for game night.
