Another awesome weekend

Friday I took 1/2 day off to go to the San Marcos outlet mall with my parents to meet my brother and his family.  Picked up a new pair of shoes and some new placemats for the breakfast room.  Not a power shopping day but a nice one.  We all came back to my parents house and got an Emergency Pack from County Line for dinner.  Yum.  I made everyone do a quiz in my mom's Oprah magazine on what personality type  you are - Explorer, Builder, Director, Negotiator.  Interestingly, all 6 of us were either Directors or Negotiators.  I'm a Director and so is Jeff, and only 7% of couples have that combo!  We're so unique.

Saturday morning was the first TD open water swim at Decker Lake.  I did my WOL duties as timekeeper and then as human buoy/swim angel.  I put my wetsuit on for the second time ever and was happily warm in the water.  After the TD workout was over a few of us got our own swim in before the support kayaks pulled the buoys and went in.  I took off the wetsuit and I got in 2 loops which supposedly was 1/2 mile.  It felt so much better than last weekend's Barton Springs wetsuit swim.

Saturday afternoon some very good and long time friends came over for lunch - we brought in fajitas from Maudies.  They left when the DirecTV installer showed up to upgrade us to HD!  Oooh pretty.  Saturday night we stayed home and started to catch up on Lost episodes until Jeff fell asleep, at which point I switched to the series finale of Gilmore Girls.  I cried and laughed and enjoyed it.

Sunday Jeff and I met Tracy for a hilly bike ride.  I still hadn't done any serious hills on Tiny and was getting nervous about the Danskin hills.  We rode out to Crystal Falls and back and I'm no longer nervous of hills on Tiny.  We rode about 34 miles and my quads were burning by the time we finished.  What a great ride!

My upper body is stiff from swimming and my lower body is stiff from riding.  I hope to sleep well tonight.
