It wouldn't be like this if they'd never known about us.

Warning, this is probably going to be a really long post... about nothing remotely important.

The Heroes season premiere was… fantabulous. It was just as good as they claimed it would be and even better, I think. They brought all the elements of what made the first season so popular (and ditched all the crap that made the second season so not worth watching) and it works. It had a fast moving story line, the element of surprise, and plenty of action and none of that sluggish and recycled feeling from last year. A million things happened in the first two episodes (that was more exciting than all of season 2 combined) and I’m only left with more questions and wanting to see more!! AH! I need to organize my thoughts…
  1. Angela Petrelli is insane. I can’t believe she has powers, but I guess it makes sense. She’s too conniving to be totally normal. And she’s Sylar’s mother? That was a genuine ‘WTF? I need to sit down,’ moment.
  2. Hiro should listen to Ando once in a while. And then maybe he wouldn’t have to save the world every season. His actions always seem to be apocalyptic.
  3. Mohinder is a pimp.
  4. Whatever Mohinder did to himself must definitely have something to do with Ando turning on Hiro.
  5. Sylar has returned in all his badass glory. I can’t believe he finally got to Claire.
  6. I still desperately want Peter and Claire to get together. There’s too much interaction/hugging/trying to kill one another for them not to want it.
  7. What happened to Micah and the New Orleans crew?
  8. Where the F is Parkman?
  9. If you die, you should stay dead. I’m talking about Nathan (who survived an atomic blast and a few gun shots), Sylar (getting run through with a sword), Nikki/Jessica (surviving the fire)… Linderman (I think his brain got ripped out?). Okay, I get that Linderman’s not totally alive and really alive only in spirit and in Nathan’s head, but still. Dead rarely means dead on Heroes… unless you’re a minor character.
  10. Since Future Peter has now changed history, I wonder how things will fare for Claire after Sylar gets to her. Obviously her turn towards her dark side has something to do with her Sylar encounter since she repeats what Sylar told her in the present about her being “special” four years later when she tries to kill Peter. She’s already getting emo.
  11. How is Peter’s soul going to escape from a locked up criminal’s body? And what’s his power?!?
  12. How can you defeat Sylar if he can’t die?
  13. Peter is so hot. Stupid, but he means well.

Heroes has regained its cliffhanging mojo. It’s full speed ahead with its betrayal, reversing the future, and (of course) the end of the world looming. All in all, a very dark couple of episodes but I LOVE it. LOVE. Oh, thank goodness for good television back on the air.

Speaking of good television, the new season of the Office aired last night as well!! And while it didn’t come with that Heroes-esque bang, it was every bit as funny as the last four seasons and besides, I was giddy just to watch it again. I love Michael Scott… or in this episode “Michael Klump”.

The biggest surprise was Jim proposing to Pam, omggggggg! I mean we all knew it would happen sooner or later, but I was expecting more of a “later”. Definitely not expecting it in this episode. And I find it weird that they haven’t had a “fight” or “argument” yet which has to make you worry something rocky must be ahead of them. But at a gas station?? It was kind of romantic in the rain and everything though. Did anyone else melt into a pile of goo? It was a great surprise from the writers (at least for me anyway) and as Dwight would say, “Well played.”

Of course, my second favorite moment (after the proposal) had to be when Dwight says, “Hold it in your mouth if you can’t swallow.” Hahaha, because what makes it fantastic is that even though no one said it… everyone was thinking it: “That’s what she said.”

The temporary “Rice-a” Ronnie receptionist looked weird and I’m almost a little sad she left bc I wanted to hear Michael say more rude things around her. And I’m not exactly happy that Ryan is back as the new receptionist. I mean, he’s kind of a dick and I don’t know what his game is with Kelly but it would be really sad if she got hurt again. Speaking of Kelly - a tapeworm? wtf?

I feel really bad for Andy with Angela cheating on him with Dwight all the time. Especially when he gave that whole speech about wanting to marry her anywhere and that whole thing. She should just break it off with him now.

Poor Toby!! I guess maybe that’s why Georgia didn’t want to go zip-lining in the jungles of Belize. Maybe she had a good point…

And who is Jan’s baby daddy?

Personally I want to see more Meredith… preferably with a few drinks.

So there's that. OH! There are 20 new episodes of the Girls Next Door!!! I'm so excited. =)

I've watched the first two episodes of Gossip Girl. Its basically the OC except its set in new york... so its automatically better. Same basic premise though. I mean serena = marissa, the poor little rich girl who is tired of leading her elitest, high-class lifestyle and wants something new. And dan = ryan, the not so rich boy who opens up said rich girl's world. Not to say its a bad show (weren't we all addicted to the OC at one time or another?), its actually pretty good. I hope the story develops a little more though, I mean I've only seen the first couple of episodes so I'm sure it will.

The Emmys were excruciating painful to sit through. The five hosts idea was horrendous. The best part about the whole thing, in my opinion anyway, was Ricky Gervais... of course. <3 How Steve Carell manages not to laugh is beyond me. Gervais sould host the entire show himself.

Anyway, that’s all the tv news. It’s pouring today. I think people who wear open-toed shoes, flip-flops, or flimsy flats made of cloth in the rain are stupid. At least wear something sturdy and change later. Your feet and bottom of your pants are going to be soaked all day which = miserable and cold. Dumbass.

I feel like if were in charge of New York City, one of the first things I would do is revamp the public transportation system. Especially the subways. They’re disgusting with the graffiti, rats, roaches, and general big city smells. I feel like they could at least clean them up once in a while. And when there’s heavy rain, public transportation is so unreliable. Many bus drivers never show up to work so you have fewer buses running. This morning my bus skipped about 2 stops bc he was one of the only buses and it was too packed to pick up more people. The subway system gets flooded when it rains too much which means lines are delayed everywhere creating even larger crowds. Ugh. I mean there ARE nice subway systems in the world. It’s not like it’s an impossible feat. Has no one ever been to Mexico City? Their subway system is almost as big as New York’s, but the difference is their subways are actually nice. Yeah. Let’s aim for that.

On the bright side, I was in Brooklyn a couple of days ago and I saw a man walking his two pigs. On leashes, just like puppies. It was soooooo cute. I didn’t have my camera or phone with me but I really wanted to take a picture.

Anyway, that was so pointless. But sometimes tv is the only interesting thing going on.
