Moon was still sleeping from earlier. Initially she slept quietly and blankly, her body taking the opportunity to recharge itself. Then, she started to dream, clearly and vividly, tossing and turning in her sleep as she did so.
Moon smiled softly, touched at Danni's words. She was so warm and eager in her manner, but Moon could tell that Danni would be sad if she ever had to leave. She shook her head gently. "No... I wouldn't allow it, I know your heart is here," she said. "I may not belong anywhere, but you do - here, in the city, with the Mallrats."
She paused, interlacing her fingers with Danni's, her thumb automatically taking up an idle stroking motion. It seemed to ground her, keep her calm. After a few moments she looked up into Danni's eyes. "I guess that means I'll stick around a while," she said, a shy smile on her lips.
"I'm glad." Danni said, warmly smiling. Looking down at where Moon was gently stroking her with her thumb, Danni thought how insane it was that at one moment she could feel totally at peace yet have shivers running down her spine at the same time, simply from Moon touching her. She'd never felt like this before, her emotions had never been so conflicted with Bray. With him there was a sense of safety and security, reliability, which was what she thought she had wanted. But now she had experienced this new feeling, with Moon of all people, she knew there was no turning back. She would have to follow this path and see where ever it would lead her and hopefully Moon would be by her side all the way

Moon lost herself in the tender kiss, nothing could have humanly stopped her. There was no way she could leave this, ever. Her breath was taken away at how sweet Danni's kiss was, making her crave more and more. For a long moment she had no concept of where she was, all she could concentrate on was these wonderful sensations.
Running a hand through Danni's hair, Moon kissed and kissed again, almost alarmed at the way her body was responding. Suddenly Moon heard someone walking past her room - she pulled away from Danni in reflex, wide eyes fixing upon the curtain that served as her door. People hardly ever came to Moon's room, and if they did they knocked or called, but Moon just couldn't help her reaction, her paranoia that this would be the one time when someone walked straight in.
No-one did, however, and the footsteps faded away. Moon let out the breath she had been holding in, and looked back to Danni with a guilty expression. "Sorry."
Danni's heart couldn't help but sink as Moon pulled away. Danni could hear the footsteps and assumed that that must be the reason why. She thought back to earlier when Moon had said that they mustn't tell anyone and figured that even though Moon was more comfortable around Danni, it would be a long while until she would be comfortable with this around all the Mall Rats. Danni could partially understand this, though couldn't help but feel a little disappointed. She knew that everything would be fine, but still, the paranoid side of her brain took it as a sign that maybe Moon wasn't that interested in being with Danni. After all, if she really cared, she wouldn't care who knew, would she
