I am fed up with how unreliable most of my California friends are in returning phone calls. :( When they say "I'll call you back," I usually can't trust them.

One of my pet peeves is people who don't return phone calls/emails. How much time does it take to call someone, even to say: "I'm too busy, but let's talk on (a specific date and time)"?

Finished my 1st day of training in Baltimore and love my new coworkers! We take a daily quiz. We get $420 for food for the next 2 weeks. Many of my fellow new employees are awesome ex-chiropractors. Took drug test, got tetanus shot, and did health titers. Worked on modules for the hospitals. Will work at New England Baptist Hospital tomorrow morning---famous for orthopedics. Had romantic dinner (with Chardonnay) last night next to the ocean, at the Duck Club Grill in Monterey. Loved hearing waves crash on the beach. First went to Santa Cruz Boardwalk and pier, where weather was a gorgeous, breezy 80s instead of San Jose's scorching 94. Hiked at Point Lobos, south of Carmel. I've been gradually saying goodbye to all my California friends. Had heartfelt meeting with Mandy last night. Also saw "Revolutionary Road" and "Slumdog Millionaire." While "Slumdog" is like a delicious chocolate shake, it is about the rush of romantic love---love at a distance---of a girl you idealize but don't really know.
