Ha! Love it, thank you raylovemachine ;) What's hilarious is that one of my homework assignments is to read the first part of a book called "Nightwork: Sexuality, Passion and Corporate Masculinity in a Tokyo Hostess Bar" by Anne Allison.

Have you seen the doc "The Great Happiness Space"? It's about Japanese HOST clubs, and oh-my-god. I feel like I can't completely criticize HostESS clubs because...if I had money to blow...I would totally be at a Host club in a SECOND. I would pick out the prettiest man in the room and fucking SHOWER him with money all night. And you know damn well I'm gonna try my hardest to seduce him after work.

I'm one of those crazy feminists that really do believe women are and can be equal to men in all ways - not just the good ways. The exploitation of women only bothers me because men aren't equally exploited, at least not in the US.

No, I haven't seen that documentary, but I would. I did see a Japanese drama some years ago that was about two host club guys and their adventures in a host club. That was the first time I had heard of them.

I'm one of those crazy feminists that really do believe women are and can be equal to men in all ways - not just the good ways. The exploitation of women only bothers me because men aren't equally exploited, at least not in the US.

I don't have a problem with this at all.

Quit bugging me about talking on the phone! *hmph* I've tried to skirt the issue with the true-but-more-polite excuses, but I just don't like talking on the phone, even to lovemachines ;)

I've been swamped with school work (I was literally in class/doing school work from 8am yesterday morning til 8:30 that night), but I'm going to be enjoying some vodka here and catching up with my blogs later today, so hopefully you'll get some drunken responses soon :D
