You know those days when your sleeping is so out of whack that you wake up and have NO idea what you're supposed to do? Yeah that's been me every time I've woken up from a nap today. (yes, that's occurred multiple times.) It reminds me of the weekend of senior prom, when we went to sleep probably circa three and I had to go to a track meet at seven the next morning. I slept when I got home and when I woke up and saw that my clock said eight, I was so thoroughly confused. I was pretty much almost late to meet people at Relay because I was so delerious. So when I woke up today at four to shower, it felt like it could've legitimately been four a.m.
Why was I so discumbobulated, you ask? Well, we had our Martha Cook Cru sleepover last night at 727 Oakland. We walked over from the Marth in our PJs holding our pillows and blankets, and it was so ridiculously fun. We played this game that was so fun and can have so many different variations, so I definitely want to play it with my other friends sometime. We all took a handful of Reeses Pieces, and you had to tell something about yourself for every one you drew, in the following categories: brown = future, yellow = family, and orange = boys. Well let me tell you, there is like a two to one ratio of oranges to everything else. Which was really fine with us because obviously it was the most interesting. It was so fun hearing everyone's top qualities and ridiculous boy stories, like "allergic to dogs but not so allergic that we can't go to other people's houses and appreciate their dogs, just allergic enough that we can never have one ourselves" and funny stories of middle school romances, odd GSI flirtations, and shameless stalking. Hilarious. It was so girltalky, which I haven't had in a while. We also heard Sarah's complete swing dancing accident story, which was so crazy. If it doesn't make you believe God has a huge plan for her and had a hand in her recovery, I don't know what would. We ended up staying up until approximately four, and then we slept under the light of the Christmas tree, which was so cute and festive. We had delish french toast with berries and almonds this morning, but it was very early (like 930) and so I'm a bit sleepy.
In talking about the future, I was talking about College Core and I decided I'm so excited for that it's unbelievable. I feel so at home at OLGC and it's going to be great to put something into it. Hooray for great weekends!
