Grr, guys. Very grr.
Well, we won yesterday, a fact I am very appreciative of. I hope the football teams makes it all the way to state this year. Yesterday was generally fun too. Ben and I hung out in the stands. We've revived our lightsaber fight for the Darth Vader theme. We play with one hand and fight with the other. Mr. Russell was funny too. We were watching The Hunt for Red October on the way there and he kept turning around with his Skittles bag in one hand and saying, "I thought Sean Connery was Scottish. Why is he playing a Russian? He sounds like a Scottish Russian."
When the busses pulled up to the Rivercenter Mall, it was our bus that was stuck in the middle of the intersection, blocking traffic flow. A woman got rear-ended slightly and honked at us because she kept trying to inch by and make a right. Finally, they opened the doors and it felt like we were storming the beaches on some Pacific Island. We all went tearing out of the bus at full speed, looking like ants skittering from an ant colony. Ben and I ran all the way to the food court, beating the crowd. Then, we hooked up with Leann and walked around for a while, then lost Leann and bought some jellybeans. Sean made us show him where the candy store was, and then we went back outside to wait for the busses.
Today, Amy, Phaedra, Rhea, possibily Chrissi and I were supposed to get together to do something. To that end, I woke up at eight thirty and was in the yard at nine raking and bagging leaves. I was done by ten thirty and I called Amy and noon to find out what the plan was. She wasn't home, so I called back an hour and a half later. Still not home. Finally, she calls me back twenty minutes later. Turns out Phaedra isn't availible, so the whole thing's off.
I find myself annoyed. I was really looking forward to hanging out with them today. I raked leaves at nine o'clock in the morning. I really wanted to get together with them because they are awesome.
I know I'm whining, but still.
So, my day is a blank slate right now.
